Koralie Barrau is an Emmy Award–winning Haitian-American documentary producer and journalist based in New York City, dedicated to telling stories rooted in place, identity, and journey-led discovery.

Drawing on her experience growing up in the diaspora, Koralie’s work amplifies underrepresented voices and unpacks complex global issues. At BBC World News, she produced coverage on topics ranging from reparations in the Caribbean, the U.S. presidential elections, and the Black Lives Matter movement, to the Derek Chauvin trial, affirmative action debates, and international affairs for both television and radio.

Koralie is currently working as a video producer and host at The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, and was notably the associate producer on PBS Frontline's "Maui’s Deadly Firestorm", an award-winning year-long examination of the deadliest American wildfire in a century. She also served as the associate producer on the PBS verité feature documentary The Calling, which follows medical students in the Bronx as they confront systemic inequities in the U.S. healthcare system. 

Her collaborations include partnerships with Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, DocNYC, Creative Artists Agency, HHMI Tangled Bank Studios,and TED.

Koralie holds degrees from The George Washington University and the London School of Economics, where she earned an MSc in Media, Communication, and International Development. Her career has taken her to New York City, Washington, DC, London, Port-au-Prince, and Paris, shaping her distinctly global perspective.​

In addition to her work in film and journalism, Koralie serves on the Board of Directors for 100Cameras, a nonprofit empowering youth to tell their own stories through photography.
